Event camera 는 일반카메라와 달리 특정 이벤트를 측정한다. 여기서 말하는 이벤트란 changes of intensity 이다.
Instead of capturing intensity images at a fixed rate, they measure changes of intensity asynchronously at the time they occur. This results in a stream of events, which encode the time, location, and polarity (sign) of brightness changes
Event camera로 취득한 데이터가 굉장히 부족하므로, RGB 영상으로부터 만들어내는 방법을 제안한다.
Event camera에서 event는 각 픽셀마다 독립적이고 연속적인 log brightness signal $L(\mathbf{u} ,t)$ 가진다.
Event $ e_{k} = ( x_{k}, Y_{k}, t_{k}, p_{k})$ 는 pixel $u = (x_{k}, y_{k})$ 에서 time $t_{k}$ 일때 $p_{k} \in \{ -1, +1\} $ 범위에서 threshold $C$ 이상만큼 변화가 생길때 나타난다.
